Have you ever wondered what happens in bathtubs when humans aren’t around?
Once the coast is clear, the Tub becomes a sudsy battleground as duckies gobble soap bubbles, spit water to sink their rivals, and battle to become Top Ducky!
Whether it's family game night or a party with friends, it's time for humans to get in on the fun!
Rubber Ducky Rampage! is a game for 2-6 players of all ages.
It takes just 5-10 minutes to set up and learn the rules, then it's 30-45 minutes of bubblicious fun!
Each player gets a tribe of 3 duckies: 1 Captain and 2 companions.
You choose a Spout as your home base and your Captain starts there. The companion duckies enter the Tub soon after.
Each ducky has 3 statistics - Buoyancy, Speed, and Spitter.
Buoyancy is how well your ducky floats, Speed is how fast they move, and Spitter is how far they can spit water out of their beak (this is how you sink other duckies!).
On your turn, you can move all of your duckies around the Tub to gobble up bubbles. Each bubble gobbled enables you to bump up one of that ducky's statistics.
You build up your stats by swimming around the Tub and gobbling bubbles. Each bubble you collect lets you bump up one of your stats by 1 point.
Boost your Buoyancy to keep from getting sunk, boost your Speed to paddle faster around the Tub, and boost your Spitter to spit water farther and sink distant enemies.
Once you feel brave enough, paddle your duckies to within spitting distance of other duckies and spray water to sink them to the bottom of the Tub!
You don’t have to keep track of all those numbers in your head - everyone has a player board to track their duckies’ Buoyancy, Speed, and Spitter skills.
Captains can build their stats higher than companion duckies - Captains are tough!
It all sounds pretty simple, right? But you need clever strategy to survive in the dangerous Tub waters.
Do you gather your duckies together as they enter the Tub and travel around as a pack?
Or do you strike out early, sinking others before they expect it?
You could always make a rush for the bubble-rich center of the Tub...but others are eyeing that too.
Decisions, decisions.
The Spouts further complicate your plans. They serve as teleporters - a ducky can enter a Spout and instantly reappear at any other Spout in the Tub!
When you sink other players’ duckies, you place them on your player board’s Trophy Case to strike fear in the hearts of your foes.
The Drain in the center of the Tub is a one-way teleporter that only flows out - once your ducky has gobbled the bubbles in the center, you can dive into the Drain to reappear at any Spout and sneak up on unsuspecting duckies.
Danger lurks everywhere in the Tub!
Wondering where the Rampage! part comes in?
Well, the duckies hate to see someone eliminated early and then have to sit sadly on the rim of the Tub while everyone else splashes around.
So they came up with a devious solution: if all 3 of a player's duckies get sunk, their Captain gets to dive back into the fray with all their stats maxed out, eager to rampage around the Tub seeking revenge!
Your goals in Rubber Ducky Rampage! are to power up your own duckies, sink other duckies, and eventually rule the Tub. First player to sink 8 other duckies wins the game!
If 10 rounds go by with no one sinking 8 duckies, the water has drained out of the Tub, the game ends, and whoever sank the most duckies is the winner.
That's the game in a nutshell. It's a fast-moving, light-hearted battle game for parties and family game nights. The water's warm and sudsy - jump right in! 🫧
